Dr. Cox earned her Medical Degree from Kansas City University. She completed her residency training at Loma Linda University Medical Center and returned home to Camarillo, practicing medicine with her father. She is board certified in Internal Medicine and Lifestyle Medicine. Her passion is in helping people overcome their chronic disease to live their happiest, most fulfilling life.
Dr. Cox chose to purse primary care for the opportunity to build long lasting relationships with her patients. She describes her practice style as "health coaching" and thinks of herself as a partner with her patients in their health care. She is especially interested in transitioning our health care system from the current sick-care model to true HEALTHcare.
Dr. Cox established the Ventura County Chapter of Walk With A Doc and can be found at the Ventura Pier on the first Saturday of every month from 9-10 am. This is a really great start to the weekend as we meet under the pier and walk the coast. This has temporarily changed to a virtual education session due to COVID-19. Sign up for the newsletter here.
